Dream by Patti Hamil

Today I wanted to share a layout of our beautiful Granddaughter that I did using the Super Powder Puff folder from the Fresh & Fun collection. This design is such a super fun folder to play with, for this one I decided to add some color! I also added LOTS of layers!!!

Here is what I started with.

I colored in the designs with four pastel colors, green, pink, yellow and blue. I just used my Zig markers for this, it was really easy since the  image is so well defined.

Here you see the Nesting Die squares layered underneath the photo! And I used the foam tape underneath as well!!!!

I used the Kaleidoscope Heart die in three colors and added dimension on these as well. I also backed them with a cream cardstock with a yellow tint to match the little yellow fans I tucked behind each square. I also added a pink gemstone to each tip!

In each little center corner I added a tiny little rose at each fan. I added a sticker sentiment "dream".

This layout was so much fun to create, and I hope you liked seeing it! Don't be afraid to add lots of layers and dimension to your pages sometimes, it really makes them come alive!!! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Quick and Easy Trendy Christmas Cards by Gloria Stengel

Hello everyone!
Gloria here again!

Today I am sharing a few "trendy" Christmas cards with you. I am on a kick to create cards that are: quick to create, use only basic supplies, and are easy to mail. (Both cards for today are standard size - 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 or A2.) I am not sure I would call myself a "trendy girl" but I thought that these two cards had that "vibe."

For this card, I made a  black card base. I then embossed a piece of dark red Core'dinations cardstock with the Jolly Christmas folder. I used the Sanding Block to sand the raised areas. The pale paper core shows through. I chose a trendy hexagon print paper to add some extra interest to the card, and I created an icicle border with a punch.

I added a very trendy chalkboard sentiment to the front of the card and finished it all off with a little "bell and bow" action.  Clean and simple cards are all the rage these days. I confess that this is a style that I am not very good at, but I think this next card is my own version of CAS.

I embossed some textured glossy paper with the Peaceful Ornaments folder. I trimmed off the bottom portion of the embossed image and added Self-Adhesive Gemstones to each of the embossed ornaments.

I added a sentiment, which is one of my very own stamp designs I cut out the sentiment with the Victorian Rectangle Nesting Dies. I rubbed the edges of the rectangle with green ink.

I hope you are inspired to create some quick and easy and trendy Christmas cards! Thanks for joining me today!

Seasons Greetings by Pam Bray

Season's Greetings, it is Pam here today to share with you my Season's Greeting Card using Moonlit Berries Embossing Folder from Couture Creations Wrapped in Joy Collection.

I started by running a piece of Core'dinations sage green paper using the Moonlit Berries Embossing Folder, sanding it off with my Couture Creations Sanding Block

Repeating with a piece of burgundy paper, sanding it also.

I placed the embossed sage green piece and pattern paper to the top of my white card base, placing my burgundy embossed piece on top with Couture Creations Foam Tape to give dimension to my card.

Here is a closer look at the two embossed pieces together.

Also...a closer look at the pretty bow that I wrapped around my card front, tied, added some stick pins and placing my Well Worn Tag on top with more of Couture Creations Foam Tape

Thanks for joining us today at Couture Creations!
Hugs Pammejo

Dance by Cathi O'Neill

All she wants to do is dance!! I have that Don Henley 80s song running through my head now!! My daughter is addicted to ballet, and as she goes up grades, her teacher has encouraged her. She wants to be a professional dancer and it is great to see her so passionate about something. It is a competitive world but if she is serious about this, we will be here to help her along. (Though the idea of long distances travelled for all of this is something I wouldn't mind not having to do lol!!)

This layout showcases some of the new Sophia dies along with a doily die and folder. I just love the amazing flourishes in the Sophia line. I chose to use the Lanvin die and the Stella die, cutting them out in white cardstock and misting them with Shimmerz sprays.

I used the Fresh and Fun Magical Embossing folder for my background paper for the fussy cut image of my daugher, cutting it out in Core'dinations Whitewash cardstock. I used the Couture Creations Sanding Block to bring up the pattern.

I next took the Fantasia Collection Dazzling Doily Die and cut it out of white cardstock again. I cut it in half and inked it with Walnut Stain Distress Ink using the Couture Creations Sponge Daubers.

I then started layering the papers for the layout, putting down the embossing folder first and the lace, tucking the doilies underneath and arranging the flourish die cuts on top... I then took my fussy cut photo of my daughter and lifted it up on 12mm Foam Mounting Tape.

I added several pieces of ballet themed chipboard from Molossi and a few flowers and placed the photo there in the scene.
I got my inspiration for this type layout from the gorgeous work of Britt Sviggum and really wanted to try it!

I added some molding paste through a damask stencil and gorgeous script and crackle stamps and some really bright mist.
I had a lot of fun making this!!
Hope to see you sharing your work on the Couture Creations Facebook page!!!

Felt Flower Card with Dana Tatar

Hi Couture Creations fans! Dana here today sharing a fall themed card. I recently bought some felt and have been having a lot of fun creating felt flowers! This felt flower comes together fast with the help of the Daisy Nesting Dies and some hot glue, but let's start by assembling the card.

Step One: Emboss a piece of patterned paper with the Exotic Embossing Folder from the Couture Creations Fine Designs Collection. Lightly ink over the embossed pattern to highlight the design and adhere the paper to a cardstock card base.

Step Two: Cut a piece of orange cardstock with the Fleur-De Frame Nesting Die. Place the die over the cut piece of cardstock and, using a Sponge Dauber and the die as a mask, add ink to the open spaces of the die. Adhere the cardstock frame to the center of the card with Double-Sided Tape. Add two feathers to the top of the Fleur-De Frame.

Step Three: Cut a piece of double-sided patterned paper with the Ivy Doily Die Set and adhere the doilies, one of each pattern, to a strip of kraft paper and then to the card over the center of the Fleur-De Frame.

Step Four: Stamp a sentiment onto a piece of blue patterned paper and add three Vintage Gold Self Adhesive Gemstones. Adhere the sentiment strip to the center of the larger Ivy Doily with Double-Sided Tape.

Step Five: Emboss a piece of green cardstock with the Turkish Delight Embossing Folder (Fine Designs Collection). Using Sharp Point Scissors, cut two leaves from the embossed cardstock and adhere them to the card in the center of the two Ivy Doilies with Foam Mounting Tape.

Step Six: Assemble the felt flower and adhere it to the card with Foam Mounting Tape.

Felt Flower Tutorial

Step One: Cut five of the second smallest daisy shape and two of the smallest daisy shape from felt with the Daisy Nesting Dies.

Step Two: Fold one of the larger daisy shapes in half and secure with a dot of hot glue. Repeat for 3 more daisy shapes. The leftover larger daisy shape will be the used for the base of the flower.

Step Three: Fold each of the four flower shapes from Step Two in half again and secure with a dot of hot glue. These four pieces are the larger petals of the flower.

Step Four: Glue the four larger petals to the flower base.

Step Five: Fold and glue the two smaller daisy shapes the same way as the larger daisy shapes. Glue the two smaller petals to the top of the flower.

I adapted this flower design from a felt flower tutorial that I found here.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
