Cherish Layout by Guest Designer Bec Genet

#couturecreationsaus

Hi everyone  - here is my second Guest Designer layout for Couture Creations
In this layout I went with the gorgeous purple colours that are in the Hearts Ease collection.

Here is how I put this together

First I cut 4 die cuts from each of the Couture Creations Hearts Ease Intricutz Dies - Mandshurica C0724312 & Scrolled Tomentosa C0724310 with white cardstock

Then I used the Couture Creations Hearst Ease Embossing Folder 5 x 7 - Lilliputana Curtain C0724375 with two of the Hearts Ease Papers (Small Pansies & Pansy Journalling). I distressed the papers to enhance to embossed images.

I layered these embossed papers with pieces of the Pansy Dressing Paper to create a mat for my photo. I'm using the Pansy Damask paper as the background.

I made a pattern with my die cuts and glued them down on my background

I filled in the gaps with a floral stencil and modeling paste

I glued down my photo mat and photo using pieces of cardboard to prop up my layers and give my page dimension, Next I layered on all my flowers and embellishments. I used the Couture Creations bulk white flowers in a range of different varieties. I kept the flowers white and splashed my page with some purple and white sprays. To finish off I added some purple rhinestones and glass beads.

Thinking of you Tag by Tracey Cooley

#couturecreationsaus

Hi Everyone

I have created a cute little tag for my blog post today using the Couture Creations Amaryllis Dies and some Nesting dies. The best thing about this little gem is that you could also pop it on the front of a card for an instant greeting.

I first cut one of the many pieces of pattern paper from the 6x6 Hearts Ease Paper Pad with the Amaryllis Laced Frame Die.

Then I cut a Couture Creations Vintage Rectangle Nesting Die cut from matching cardstock. Inked the edge and attach it to the Amaryllis base.

Then I cut a matching pattern paper from the same pad in a rectangle to fit inside the Victorian Rectangle. I then added the Die cuts from one of the corner Dies from the Laced Frame Dies.

Cutting some Nesting Hearts from the back of the pattern papers that I had used I added a stamp from the Hearts Ease Frames and Sentiments Stamps. Adding them to the front of the tag with Couture Creations Foam Mounting Tape.

Then I added some Couture Creations 2cm and 1.5cm English roses. For some sparkle I added some Couture Creations Glitzin Glamour Crystalina, and finished off with some ribbon.

Love that Sweet Smile Layout by Sue Smyth

#couturecreationsaus

I have not done a layout for awhile and thought it was long overdue.
Using Hearts Ease papers and Couture Creations dies, I came up
with this lovely Baby layout, but you could use it for any
young girl.

I have altered the Couture Creations flowers
with a wicking technique.
I love the graduated colour you can achieve with this technique.
You will find a tutorial on my previous post to explain how to
wick colour into the flower.

I have coated die cut cream cardstock in dimensional magic and covered
it with white glitter to give a praline colour to the glitter.

A nice close up of the flowers, insert a pearl into
the center for a bit of bling.

I have die cut the pram twice and glued both together
to form the thickness of chipboard. Then when
you add dimensional magic and glitter the die cut
holds it shape better and will not warp.

I have done the same with the little rocking horse.
But notice the little leaves and pearl above it.
An embellishment can be made of the smallest things

Die cut Smile script in white cardstock and
wipe over pearl paint for a classy look.

Here I have spritzed the flowers and used a pearl paint
pen to blend over the wet petal.
The pen will bleed and dissolve for a neat soft look.

Altered Strawberry Leaves

Lately I have been having fun playing with
ways to alter die cut leaves.
First cut them from white or cream cardstock

Swipe over top of leaf a little gesso, not much
just spots of it.

Use a sponge dauber to add ink.

Use another sponge dauber to add a red ink to the edges of the leaf.
You can leave this technique here, as it looks awesome
this way too.

But I like to spritz with a little water, too.
This sends all of the ink to the back and allows the gesso to
stand out again.

The two inks blend and puddle to form lots of delightful
autumnal tones.

Pansies Tag/Bookmark by Tina Connolly

#couturecreationsaus

Hi everyone, I'm loving the new Hearts Ease paper, the colours are just gorgeous.   I decided to make a gift tag, which could double as a bookmark, so kept the layers relatively flat.

I cut a tag from Core'dinations cardstock and embossed it using Lilliputana Curtain embossing folder.

Pattern match to create a continuous pattern, but only roll part way into the embossing machine, and then out the same way so you don't get a "flat spot" where the edge of the embossing folder was.

Corner punch the corners, and sand the embossed pattern using a sanding block.

Cut Amaryllis Laced Frame and two corners from Hearts Ease paper
and Amaryllis Keepsake Kandy from white cardstock.

Ink and then spray mist towards the center of the tag.  Adhere die-cuts as shown.

Cut another Laced Frame from black cardstock, and the center Megan's Magic die from Hearts Ease paper and ink edges.

Layer using 3D Foam Strips.

Add a sentiment using Hearts Ease Embellishments, and a few Couture Creations flowers which I sprayed and inked.
