Love Vintage Rose Card by Kerrie Gurney

#couturecreationsaus

Hi there Kerrie here with my last post as part of the 2014 Couture Creations Design Team, tomorrow right here on the blog we start the introductions for 2015 team which I am very proud to be Coordinator of again. Make sure you follow us and come back each day and welcome the new team.

***

For my last post I have created a card using Vintage Rose Garden Patterned Papers and the soon to be released Amaryllis Ornamental Lace Die Collection.
I am sure you will love this collection as much as I do, so pop into your local store and preorder it NOW as you don't want to miss out. I have also used the NEW Couture Creations Flowers
which are available now from your local store.

Onto creating

to start die cut 2 x Simone's Style lace borders from Gold Glitter sticker paper using Quick Release Die Paper and Metal Adapter Plate.

The metal adapter plate helps to give a crisp cut and the quick release paper makes sure the glitter paper comes straight out of the die

Die cut 1 x Rowena Lace Die again using the metal adapter plate and quick release paper, see how the die cut falls out of the die and with a few flicks all the pesky bits come out too.

Keep the Quick Release Die paper die cut and use it as a mask and add some gold metallic spray.

once dry this creates a soft subtle background

Add some green spray to colour the 6cm Camden Cottage Rose and also while it is still wet from the spray scrunch it up to give the flower more texture. You can see the difference how with some colour and some scrunching it changes the whole look of the flower, I have also added a touch of Gold Metallic spray to the tips of the flower.

I have also used the  3cm Camden Cottage Roses and the English Roses

to add some colour I sprayed the flowers using Gold Metallic spray to the whole flowers, make sure you use the Non Stick Craft Mat to do this.

I then rubbed the flowers onto the left over spray this gives more colour to the petal tips, this is why using the Non Stick Craft Matt is good as you don't waste any of the spray.

Once all your flowers are dry you can start assembling your card

I used the NEW Turbo Glue Pen to attach the Lace Doily and also the paper flowers, this glue pen is awesome.

Here are some close ups so you can see the layering

Happy Birthday to Blue by Tracey Cooley

#couturecreationsaus

Hi Everyone

A quick Birthday Card today using some of this years super Couture Creations Releases!

I cut a 5" card base from Core'dinations Foundations Bright White Card Stock.
Then using the Couture Creations Background Savvy Diffused I die cut the front of the card.

Using an eye dropper and some spritz I added some splats of colour. Then using the Couture Creations Everyday Essentials Mini Flowers 1 and Mini Flowers 2 I made some quick flowers

I took the larger of the flowers and punched a small hole in the middle of four of them. Then I cut into the hole and using the Couture Creations Turbo Glue Pen I adhered them into cones. Then with hot glue I layered them to form a 3D flower

With the below flower I simply bent up the petals and again layered them into a lovely little flower. I added some Couture Creations Adhesive Gemstones to the centers

the smallest flower I added a mini brad through the center and scrunched the petals to form a cute little 3D blossom. After creating these little beauties I sprayed them with spray adhesive and added some white glitter so they look frosted.

I then attached some muslin/gauze to the corner of my card and added the flowers. Be careful to put a piece of scrap paper in the middle of your card so the glue does not leak to the back of your card through the diffused background.

Then cut a matching Couture Creations Everyday Essentials Happy Birthday sentiment in a matching colour and attached where desired. You can also spread a bit of Couture Creations Glitzin' Glamour Glitter Glue over the front of your card for extra sparkle if you choose.

You can see in the pic below that when you open your card it will reveal that the front is quite unique.

Thanks so Much for stopping by!!

Thank You Cards by Mel Connell

#couturecreationsaus

Hello once again one and all.
It is with a sad tone that I bring this my last blog post as an official Couture Creation Design Team Member. This past year has flown by and has been filled with amazing crafty goodness.

Thank you so much to my fellow Couture Creations Design team members for making this a fun and inspiring adventure.

Thank you very much for the team at ArtDeco Creations for choosing me to be apart of this wonderful team.

But mostly thank you Kerrie for being a stunning Design Team Coordinator. It's been a great year. Fun, exciting, love getting those parcels in the mail, and so so proud and honoured to have my work travel to CHA 2015. Huge!

My final project was this trio of thank you cards.

Once again using the stunning gorgeous Vintage Rose Garden papers. Seriously, you need to get the paper pad it's divine!
I used two dies from the most recent Die releases, and cut simple white card stock pieces, used some ink to highlight the edges and layered the elements up with the 3D glue spots.
Each card has a Frames and Frills Doily folded over the opening edge to create a flap, and all three cards are held closed with some ribbon tied in a bow around them.
Simple cards but very very pretty. Making a set of 6-10 would make a beautiful gift to give someone.

Once again, I have loved my time here at Couture Creations, its such a fabulous company with fantastic products. I look forward to following what then Team does this year.

Together Tag by Tina Connolly

#couturecreationsaus

Hi there everyone, it's Tina back again with a tag tutorial.  I love to create tags as they can be used in so many ways, such as on a card, layout or attached to a gift.  They are a great way to try out new techniques, or when you only have a small amount of time to create.

1. Cut a tag from Core'dinations cardstock, and emboss it using the Honeypot die and tan Embossing Mat.  (Layer it with cutting plate, tan mat, cardstock, die facing down, cutting plate and run through your die-cutting machine as you normally would to emboss )  Do this a number of times to cover the tag, making sure you line up the pattern.

2. Sand to accentuate the pattern.  As you can see I embossed with the die on the back (uncoated side)of the cardstock and sanded the front.  You will get a different effect if you emboss on front.

3. Cut Nopstalgia from cardstock and heat emboss.

4. Spritz background with a shimmery mist. Cut three of the Autumn Leaf, and layer under some muslin.  Attach Nostalgia diecut using Mini Foam Dots behind the photograph.  Add a small title and embellishment and you're finished.
