Happy Birthday Dad by Tracey Rohweder

Hello once again crafters!
Tracey R here with you again today, and I am very excited to be able to share my first project with the new & exciting 'Sea Breeze' Collection.  Full of nautical themes with a gorgeous green & blue colour palette, it's sure to become a firm favourite. I've been so looking forward to getting my hands on this collection - so many possibilities!
My initial thought when I saw the patterned papers in this collection was "male cards!".
There are so many beautiful paper collections that are perfect for feminine cards, but not so many for masculine cards. And with my Dad's birthday this month perfect opportunity to play with Sea Breeze.  This is what I've created - a lighthouse amongst the sandy cliffs, with a blue sky in the background.
So let's get crafting!
Using a Kraft A6 card as my base, I've cut a piece of light blue cardstock just smaller than the card, and inked around the edges with a dark grey ink.

The stunning lighthouse patterned paper is part of the Sea Breeze Collection Pack.
It also the 12 doubled sided patterned papers & a sticker sheet as pictured below.
I've fussy cut around the lighthouse and added one of the largest crystal gemstones to look like the shinning light.

Next I've used some offcuts of kraft card stock and layered them on the blue card stock, using a piece of double sided tape along the bottom of each layer. I've ripped each layer to look like cliffs and curled back the edges for dimension.  I've trimmed any kraft card stock that hung over the blue card stock.

Before  I attach my the lighthouse I've stamped my sentiment in the top right hand corner.
Along the bottom of the lighthouse I've added a small strip of doubled sided tape and small piece of gauze on top.  So it just pokes out the bottom. I've then placed 3D foam dots along the back of the lighthouse, so the cutout doesn't sit flat on the card stock, and placed on top of the card stock layers. Finally I've attached the blue card stock to the Kraft A6 card with some more doubled sided tape.

Here's some close ups of the card for you.
