Christmas Lyrics Card by Pam Bray

Pam here today on the Couture Creations Blog sharing with you the Christmas Lyrics Embossing Folder from the Wrapped in Joy Collection and Sophia Eberjey Die.....

I began by first running my Christmas Lyrics and a piece of Core'dinations burgundy paper.....

sanding it off lightly with my Couture Creations Sanding Block.

I placed a piece of dark teal distress paper to the top of a cream 5 x 6 1/2 card base. I added Couture Foam Mounting Tape to the Christmas Lyrics piece that I had attached to some pattern paper.

Die cut two fun Santa embellishment from your pattern paper using Couture Creations Circle Nesting Dies....

and a beautiful Eberjey Die cut from an accompanying paper.

Wrap some teal twill ribbon and loosely tie a bow, place the Eberjey die cut to the top of the ribbon, and attach one of the cut Santa embellishments to the top of Eberjey die with Couture Creations Double Sided Tape....this will keep both pieces in place.

For the second embellishments place on the first with your Couture Creations Foam Mounting Tape and then tie your bow so it is closer to the bottom of the Santa embellishment. Mark sure to trim you ribbon with your Precision Scissors.

I added Couture Creations Teal Gemstones to the top of the Eberjey die cut and one at the bottom of the distress Christmas Lyrics piece. I hope you check out the whole Wrapped in Joy Collection at Couture Creations.
Hugs Pammjeo

Joy to You by Patti Hamil

Hi, it's Patti. If you're like me you want to make your Christmas cards if possible, but probably don't have much time. I'm here to show you how you can quickly make simple but elegant looking cards in just a couple of steps with just a few supplies!

This card is so easy that I don't have step-by-step photos because there really are none! Here is the finished card.

and a close-up.

Now, I'm going to tell you how easy it is. All you need is a sheet of ivory cardstock (or colored if you like). I used cardstock for a 5x7 card here. Next you need a sheet of specialty cardstock, the foil looking cardstock, any color, but I used gold.  You also need one embossing folder, I used Poinsetta Lullaby from the Wrapped In Joy collection. Then you just need a couple of blooms, a title and a piece of ribbon!

The embossing shows beautifully on this shiny type paper, and especially for the Holidays! But the look is really striking! Each folder in this collection will make a gorgeous card on it's own!!! I hope you try this if you're short on time like I am!!!! Thanks so much for stopping by!

One in a Million by Tracey Cooley

My gorgeous daughter Tayla  is definitely one in a million!
She is loving, responsible, thoughtful and a hard worker. Not to mention beautiful (but I could be bias). I love this picture of her my brother took while holidaying in Kenya and hoped to do it justice with a layout that captures her spirit.

I have been looking for a realistic looking rose leaf for some time now and Couture Creations has the perfect leaf to go with roses. You can see on this layout the detail in the leaves and how real they look. All this thanks to the Couture Creations All Occasions Embossing Folder Jazmyne... this has quickly become my favourite emboss folder.

I simply embossed a  piece of Jet Black Core'dinations cardstock with the Couture Creations Jazmyne Emboss Folder and cut out those gorgeous leaves, moulded them with my fingers and tucked them under my flowers.

Butterflies a pretty popular on pattern paper and I love to cut their little wings out and 3D them with an alternate pattern paper underneath... On this layout I have added a bit of Couture Creations Glitz n Glamour to the pattern paper underneath. I also added it to the white Couture Creation Dazzling Doily die cuts under the photograph...
I hope you like this layout as much as I do.

Thanks for stopping by and Keep on Creating!

Autumn Beauty by Cathi O'Neill

It is Autumn here in Ireland, and since we don't have major changes between our seasons (never gets really hot or really cold here) we don't get those amazing trees full of bright colors! I did spot a few colorful leaves (mostly on the ground!) in a local park and brought my oldest daughter Aine along for a little photo shoot! I featured the gorgeous All Occasions Endless Embossing Folder for my layout, absolutely perfect for an Autumn layout!

For my layout I chose several shades of Autumn colors Core'dinations papers and embossed them.

Using my Couture Creations Sanding Block, I sanded the papers revealing the core, and with extra embossed paper, fussy cut some autumn leaves.

Finally, I also used the Sophia Oscar die to cut some flourishes out of cork! I love the earthy look and texture it has!

To put the layout together I first did some "splatting" with Peeled Paint Distress Stain and Walnut Stain Distress Stain. I added some subtle stamping using my Visible Image Bronte Border script stamp. To build up the layout, I layered the three embossed paper, adhering them to the layout with 18mm Double Sided Tape. To give the photo extra dimension I lifted it up with 12mm Foam Mounting Tape.

I added two Core'dinations tags, then started building up an embellishment cluster using my fussy cut leaves, some twine and the gorgeous cork flourishes!

I added some chevron and heart confetti which I primed with gesso and inked with chalk ink. I added brown stitching around the border. The final touch was the title "Autumn Beauty".

I hope you like my Autumn layout this month, and hope to see you sharing your work on the Couture Creations Facebook page!!!

Peace on Earth by Patti Hamil

Hi, it's Patti. Today I want to share a technique that is easy, but beautiful. Especially for any Holiday cardmaking or scrapbooking that you want to do. I started out with one of the gorgeous Wrapped In Joy embossing folders. I chose because I wanted to color in the little holly leaves with different colors.

Here are a couple of close-ups of the finished project.

First I gathered some of the supplies, the embossing folder, my trusty tweezers, markers in colors that I wanted and some gems.

I colored in the embossed parts with several colors of  markers. I chose very light colors for this. I used pink, blue, green and burgundy.

After coloring them all in, the magic starts! I just used iridescent ink and rubbed over the entire embossed image! It lightens and adds just the right amount of shimmer!!!

I used the Glitzin Glamour just for the little berries on this.

When  I finished, I added an embossed strip across the two sections where they joined (this is a larger card).

I thought the little bird would look perfect on this card too, so I cut it and colored with the same blue marker and used the Shimmers ink on it as well!

This is how it looked!

I used the fancy die for a frame for my sentiment. I embossed a small piece of Gold paper with the same folder to use behind the little frame as a backing.

I added a few matching blooms and some gems and that was it!!! A very striking look but a really simple technique to do. It's fun to play around to see what the ink looks like on the different folders with different colors!!! I hope you enjoyed seeing this and hope you play with this technique too!!!
