Sewing Mends the Soul, Reverse Canvas by Lesa Bird
Hi there
Today I'm have a little play with Couture Creations Inicutz Dies, Glamour Days,
and the Sew Jo paper range.
So I'm playing with a reverse canvas.
Canvas Sketch
Finished Canvas
Paint the timber edges of the canvas (reverse side of canvas) then cover the complete edges and inner canvas, with Couture Creations Pattern Papers from the Sew Jo Paper Pad
Dress Form die cut twice, one in black cardstock and another in a glitter paper to create the dress.
Albert and Simonetta die cut twice, one in black cardstock and one with patterned paper to create the dress.
Cut 2 tape images from Sew Jo patterned paper and adhere one diagonally to the background ruffling slightly, and mount the other on a strip of chipboard, for the bottom of the outside frame
Sewing Kit Die cut one each of the machine bobbin and thread card from black cardstock.
Wrap a little twine around the machine bobbin and highlight the thread card using a white gel pen

Sewing Kit Die, die cut the Sewing Machine from black cardstock, then doodle a little on it
and then coated with Dimensional Magic
Heritage Die, die cut from a piece of Sew Jo patterned paper and place in the top corner of the frame and place a flower on top.
Project Tag Die, cut one in black cardstock and add a little doodling and a sewing quote.
arrange everything onto your canvas and if you like you can add some other embellishments to suit have fun
