Tied Together by Tracey Cooley

#couturecreationsaus

Hi Everyone

Today I would like to share with you a card I created for my Tutors Display at the Brisbane Scrapbook and Papercraft  Expo this weekend. You will be able to see this card and a load of other projects IRL amongst the awesome Tutors Display featuring all weekend. This card also features one of the fantastic Couture Creations Dies I will be using in my "Once Upon a Whimsy" card class at the Expo.

To make this card I cut a 5X7" card base from Core'dinations Bright White Foundations Cardstock and matted with a Foundations Baby Blue and Bright white.
From scrap cardstock I cut  a Couture Creations Momento Tied Together Die cut with the added help of the most awesome Quick Release Die Paper...

Not to waste my die paper I used it as a mask and spritzed a couple of the corners of the mat.

Then with the Die cut I used it as a mask also to add some white paint to the mix.

Using my Couture Creations Non Stick Scissors I distressed the edges of my card base and both mats. Using the super strong bonding 18mm Couture Creations Double sided tape, I put these all together!

I added some chicken wire (also left over from Tutors Display). I added the wire to my project using the Couture Creations 3D Glue Spots for a strong hold. I added a pre made flower to the center of the card.
I then cut some Couture Creations Lucky Trees out in coordinating colours to feature around the flower.

I thought this card needed something else but only a subtle something so Using the Couture Creations Van Roe Beautiful Butterfly I cut a acetate butterfly... to have my die cut all the way through the acetate I enlisted the help of the Couture Creations Metal Adapter Mat... my sandwich went as follows (for Bigshot) multi purpose platform, cutting plate, die, acetate, metal adapter mat, cutting plate, this worked a treat!

I added this to my card and made it sparkle by adding some Couture Creations Glitzin Glamour Crystalina to the acetate.

As I mentioned earlier I am a Tutor at the Scrapbook and Papercraft Expo for Couture Creations this weekend along with the very Talented Kerrie Gurney and Tina Connolly.
Spaces are still available for all classes (but not many) and can be booked at the Paper Craft Expo Entry.
We can't wait to meet you!

Thanks so Much for stopping by
