2015 Design Team Introducing Jo Simons

#couturecreationsaus

Hello!  I'm Jo and I'm beyond excited to be part of this amazing team again!

I live in sunny Perth, Western Australia with my 3 beautiful children and my extremely supportive husband.

I have been scrapbooking for about 8 years now and for the past 2 have had the absolute pleasure to be on the Couture Creations Design team.  These amazing ladies are a constant source of inspiration to me.  I also love the fact that I am proudly supporting an Australian company.

I love to scrap and also like to make cards.  My style I would describe as very layered but simple and clean and also very girly.  While I love to dabble in mixed media, I seem to always come back to a "clean" look.

I am so looking forward to the year ahead, getting to know lots of you and hopefully inspiring you all with some of my creations.

Today I have a layout to share with you, using an assortment of new dies from the latest releases.

I am absolutely thrilled to still be a part of this fantastic team and so looking forward to another year of fun and inspiration!  Thanks so much for all your continued support and lovely comments.  They are truly appreciated.

I have used the beautiful Vintage Rose papers for my layout.  Still having a lovely time playing with these papers!

The pretty little doily is a new release too from the Frames N Frills die collection.  It's called Elissa Set.

This new collection is fantastic as it comes with few dies including the little flower patch that is also used on my layout.

Couture has also released Background Savvy Collection.  This collection is full of dies that are perfect for backgrounds on your layouts and also for card makers.  I have used the Honeypot die.

Here is a closer look at the layering and dies.

You can see that really sweet Honeypot die just peeping out from the flowers that I fussy cut out.

The other die I have used is one from the new Hearts Ease collection called Scrolled Tomentosa.  I have cut cereal boxes using this die and then just rubbed lightly a brown ink over the top.  I then cut it in half on the diagonal had positioned it poking out of each corner.
All my papers have been hand stitched using the paper piercer from the Handheld Essentials pack.
Thanks for stopping by.  Until next time :)
