Embossed Heart Card by Kerrie Gurney

#couturecreationsaus

Hi Everyone Kerrie here with a tutorial for Couture Creations Blog

For this card I have not only die cut with the heart nesting die I have embossed it see below

to create the decorative heart I first diecut a piece of cardstock using Crystal Aroma die from the Background Savvy collection (one of my favourite Couture Creations Collections) and of course I have used Quick Release Die Paper to help my die cut pop out of the die

next place the die cut on the Heart Nesting Die

and die cut a heart

you can keep the negative piece to use in a future project

next to emboss the heart die your will change your diecutting machine sandwich to emboss
and layer die, patterned paper with the patterned side up, an embossing mat and then top acrylic plate
run through your machine

and wallah you have embossed your die instead of cutting

I then cut around the embossed heart and layered the diecut heart onto it.
Create an embossed pennant, distress and ink the edges of all paper pieces.
Pop it all together adding  snippet of the Evergreen diecut, a flower, a ribbon bow, muslin, tiny pearls and finish off with a smidge of Crystalina Glitter Glue

Wings by Tracey Cooley

#couturecreationsaus

Hi Everyone

I am loving the fairy die from the Secret Garden Collection from Couture Creations
With this card I experimented with just the wings from it and made the super butterfly on the bottom of this card.

To make this card I took a piece of white card stock and spritzed it with a bright purple spritz.
I then added Some Couture Creations Glitzin Glamour Silver to the top and smoothed it out with a spatula .

I then added some splotches of Glitter Paste.
Whilst still wet I added two of the flourishes from the Secret Garden Collection

I also added some silver embellishments and a ribbon bow.
I then added the one of the letterboxes from the Secret Garden Letterbox set.

I then cut 2 of the Secret Garden Elegant Fairies and cut their wings as shown below.

then I flipped one of them and adhered them to my card in the shape of a butterfly adding Couture Creations Adhesive Gemstones as the butterflies body.

I hope you love the Couture Creations Secret Garden Collection as much as I do!

Jolly, Merry Boy by Guest Designer Amanda Baldwin

#couturecreationsaus

Hi Couture Lovelies,

Amanda Baldwin (aka @happy_arty_days) here, with my final Guest Designer project for
Couture Creations for September!
Thankyou for allowing me to share my inspiration with you all!

Let me say, I am totally in love with the Christmas Emporium collection - so very pretty!!

I've created another really modern and contemporary page again,
But this time it's a boy page with the pretty blue toned pattern papers.
Here's my 8.5" x 11" layout,

"Jolly, Merry Boy"

How cute is this boy & his Santa?!! Love it!
And aren't those blue Christmas papers just divine?!!
Evidence that vintage papers don't necessarily need to be vintage style layouts.

Here's a snapshot of the products I've used today.....

And here's how to recreate this page....

1. Pre cut the above featured Christmas Eve Intricutz Dies: Be Merry & Mistletoe in kraft cardstock. Place aside for use later.

2. Trim the above featured Christmas Emporium pattern paper into 8.5" x 11". Keep the off cuts!

3. Trim white cardstock into 8" x 10.5", and trim the 'off cuts' into 7.5" x 3". Adhere to layout as shown above.

4. Create layers with above featured blue striped patterned paper.

5. Attach kraft mistletoe die cuts, photogrpah and blue adhesive chipboard tag.

6. Adhere the 'Merry' die cut, & an embellishment.
I used a pretty handmade heart, but any medium sized embellie would work well here.

7. Complete the page with your favourite blue ink, and those too sweet blue Gemstones.

Voila!

A super fun, happy Christmas page to add to your Album -
or if you're like me,
I am creating an 8.5" x 11" December Daily that I will add this to!
Christmassy Cheer!

Trio of Quilted Cards by Tracey Rohweder

#couturecreationsaus

And hello to you again crafty friends!
Tracey R here on this September day.
Spring is here and the days are getting longer, which means more time to craft!
I'm sure a lot of you are like me, and can spend hours looking for inspiration and ideas on Pinterest.  But have you ever thought about copying your own projects?
Today I am going to show you 3 different cards, using a previous post (a Christmas Card) as inspiration.
So let's get crafting!
This is my original post "Seasons Greetings Card" and it also includes the instructions to make the card.
What I want to show you is that you can take the same design, and adapt to other occasions by changing your papers and/or greetings.  I really loved the design of the Christmas card, so using this are my inspiration I've created a 2 very different birthday cards, and a Congratulations card.  You can see the similarities, but  the basic design and elements are the same.

I've used the Nesting Diamonds die to cut the diamonds, embellished with pearls or gemstones  on the corners, and mounted a greeting on foam tape
Congratulations card featuring the gorgeous Hearts Ease papers and Pearls.
Floral Birthday Card using the beautiful Vintage Rose Papers and Cafe Creme Pearls
Bright & Bold Happy Birthday card using the new release Ultimate Crafts  cardstock & Onyx 2mm gemstones
By using different papers you can certainly get a different look, and it's also a great way to use up scraps and get a patchwork kind of feel to the cards.
I'd love to see if you use any of your previous projects to inspire new ones!
Thanks for stopping by.
