Gift Bag by Guest Designer Bridget Louw

#couturecreationsaus #ultimatecrafts

August has sped by at such a pace. I cannot believe its time for my last Guest DT post for Couture Creations for the month.

I have made a very quick and easy Gift Bag for you to whip up at home when you need a quick gift solution in a hurry. The best part about this project is it requires no cutting, just a sheet of paper and a scoring tool or scoreboard.

I had a trip to Melbourne and have had to photograph the steps for the project in my craft room at night so huge apologies for the poor colour quality.

We start off with a piece of patterned paper measuring 8.5"x11".

Score as follows" On the 11" side: 3/4", 4 1/2", 6 1/2" and 10 1/4"
On the 8.5" side score at 2" and at 6 1/2"

There are 4 diagonal score lines required too and these are marked on the diagram below.

Fold all four diagonal lines to the inside and glue down the flat pieces with double sided tape.

Next up we need to start decorating the gift bag. I cut out one ULT157545 Ultimate Crafts Background Gallery Collection Floral Lattice die and cut it in half.

I then cut out 2 pieces of patterned paper at 4 1/2" x 1 1/2" and adhered the Lattice die cut to it. This will form the edge of my gift bag.

Attach it to the top edges of the gift bag.

We will then punch two holes on both sides of the gift bag and attach the ribbon for the handles with a brad.

The last step is to decorate the front of your gift bag as you wish.
These gift bags take very little time & effort to assemble and make such wonderful gifts for all occasions. I hope you will try to make one.

Once again, I apologize for the poor colour quality of these pictures.

Here is a list of the wonderful Couture Creations & Ultimate Crafts products that I used.

Celebrate Christmas by Kerrie Gurney

#couturecreationsaus #ultimatecrafts

Hi everyone Kerrie here
I am back with another post created for the Artdeco Creations Brands Blog
this time featuring the NEW Couture Creations Be Merry & Classic Christmas 2016 Collection along with my favourite Couture Creations Anna Griffin Embossing Paste & Pigments

I love this collection, so classic and it can also be used for non Christmas creating

Here is a quick tutorial on how you can recreate this layout.

Using a small amount of Embossing Paste, smooth it over the stencil using a lift off tool as these work a treat, or you can use a palette knife.

You want a nice coverage

lift off the stencil

and while the embossing paste is still wet, sprinkle with some crystal glitter
set aside to dry.
What I love most about the Anna Griffin Embossing Paste is that it dries so quickly, by the time I finish die cutting and cutting and distressing my papers it will be dry

Die cut 2 of the Holly Flourish Corner die from Be Merry patterned paper

then cut one of the diecuts into 3 sections and leave the other one whole

Spray some water onto your Craft Mat and sprinkle in some  Silver Pigment powder, mix with a paintbrush and use this to add some splatters to your base cardstock

Layer everything onto your base and finish off with some Diecut Ephemera, Silver Stamens and Pearls

Sea Breeze Beach Hut - by Adriana Bolzon

#couturecreationsaus #ultimatecrafts

Hello there everyone, Adriana here today and I am sharing another project created with Couture Creations paper and products especially with the new release papers
SEA BREEZE designed by Denise Boddey. I really think this paper collection is so perfect for all types of projects.

Today I have created a display piece - or beyond the page project.
I created a fun beach hut with the lovely embellishments from the
SEA BREEZE  collection.

Using the SEA BREEZE papers and Ephemera pack for decorating my beach hut. Adding many shells, coloured muslim and some white netting.

SEA BREEZE Diecut Ephemera pack C0724681
SEA BREEZE Paper pad C0724651
also
White Netting C0724733

To create this little Sea Breeze Beach Hut I used a small square wooden Box available from Artdeco Creations, some wooden popsticks, hot glue gun, white gesso, inks and paints.

Using the back of the box for the front of the beach hut, I glued rows of popsticks with the hot glue gun and then made a roof with the popsticks and attached it to the top of the box.

Once all the popstick are glued on the to the box, I then painted a white gesso all over the popsticks and
then added blue & rustic paints and inks.
Layering on the roof with colour muslim, shells, pearls and touch of glitter glue.

I created a banner with the Sea Breeze Papers and added a ephemera tag to the front of beach hut.

Here is another one I created for CHA - using the
SEA BREEZE  Die cut Lighthouse & Banner C0724686 & some coloured
cardstock for decoration.

Strong Enough to Survive by Anita Enright

#couturecreationsaus #ultimatecrafts

Hi fellow crafty friends! Anita here again this time to share very special card with you.
I was asked to make a 'card' for one of my work colleagues who was going into to hospital.  She had just been diagnosed with bowel cancer and a fellow Facebook friend posted a quote on her timeline that she loved and said it resonated with her .  She asked me if I could 'make her a card' using the quote so she could put it on her bedside table whilst she was in hospital.
I don't think she expected getting this.

To create the card base I cut a 12x12" piece of Ultimate Crafts Snow White cardstock at 7".
Next I scored the cardstock at 3", 4 1/2", 7 1/2" and 9" and then folded along the score lines.  The large panels will measure 3" in size and the smaller folder 1 1/2" in size.
I then added the Floral Fancy patterned paper to the cardstock base and inked the edges in a matching green ink.

I cut two of the Tassels die from the Magnolia Lane collection in Cypress Pine Ultimate Crafts cardstock, one a mirror image of the other, attach them to the two outside panels of the card.
I then took two of the magnolia flowers die cuts from the ephemera set and attached the over the top of the tassels.

To the underside corners of the quote, behind the green and pink cardstock, I added Magnolia Corners dies in Snow White cardstock.
I printed the quote on to some white 250gsm paper and then double mounted it on to some Cyrpress Pine and Carnation cardstock then attached it to the middle front panel of the card.
To the underside corners of the quote, behind the green cardstock, I added Magnolia Corners dies in Snow White cardstock.

I deconstructed two of the Cottage Pollen flowers to only use the center two layers of petals.  I then added some of the Flamenco pink coloured Liquid Drops 3D Pearls to slightly colour the white flowers.  These were added to the top corners of the two back panels with a couple of other flowers from my personal stash. To the corners of the quote I added some of the Pink Blush pearls in the corner of the quote.
You will see I have used some butterflies over the card.  Unfortunately I had run out of the ones from the ephemera pack so I ended up fussy cutting the ones from the packaging of other embellishments from the collection.  If you didn't know I had done it you would never have known.

I felt very privileged to have been asked to make this for her, and truly hope that she likes it. Hopefully by reading the quote every day it will help give her the strength and the positivity to get through the trying times she has ahead in beating this horrible disease.
