Hi! It's me again.

This time I would like to show you my new project made on canvas.

This canvas presents my little girl Marysia when she was 4 years old.

Here are some close up from a preparations and certain moments of creation.

I used watercolors to make some colours.

Then I started to made some composition. I stamped a background.

And here are some details of this canvas.

I couldn't resist and I made another card with a big flower and a butterfly.

I love this wonderful die of butterfly.

It can be a main element of a card or a sublime element of the background.

Hello Crafty people..long time no see! I have had a busy few weeks and sadly my Design Team submissions had to take a bit of a back seat. BUT here I am back again with a layout inspired by a very lovely lady called Farrel Tailor whom I spent some time with recently while teaching on a cruise.

I have only dabbled in mixed media as I genuinely do not understand all the "rules". I do not know which products work with which etc and it was only sitting next to the talented Farrel that I learnt that there is no right or wrong..just play, try and learn. So I did with this layout featuring my husband and middle son. I gathered my L'Aquarelle supplies and went for it. I still have heaps to learn but its a start..so I hope you will have a go at getting out your gesso etc and "having a go".

After choosing my patterened papers I applied some Gesso with a baby wipe..just a random pattern in the center. I dried it with my heat tool.

Next up I made up some texture paste to use with my L'Aquarelle stencil using texture paste and some blue pigment powders.
I used the Rolling Mesh 6x6 Stencil for this layout. I let that air dry for a bit.

The pigment powders create a very pretty shimmer.

Next up I cut  a few pieces of patterned paper to frame my photo. These were just randomly stuck to the back of the photo.

I broke up the "neatness" of the stencilling with some mists and loved the shimmer the copper spray gave to the layout.

I also used a variety of sprays to colour up some flowers to match the patterned papers.
The metal dragonfly was a gorgeous addition to the layout.  The photo corner is one of the brass frames cut in half..I love that!

So there you go, a bit of a try learn play session with gesso, texture paste, pigment powders and mists. It was heaps of fun. I hope you will have a go for yourself. 'Til next time, see ya XX

Dragonfly Dreams by Tracey Cooley

#artdecocreations   #couturecreationsaus    #ultimatecrafts

 Hi Everyone

As you know I love having a stash of cards just incase I get caught with a birthday or anniversary or something unexpectedly. So I have been filling my stash lately and made this one using the Ultimate Crafts L'Aquarelle Collection.

I love the way this card turned out and its so easy to do...
starting with a mat to suit a 5x7 card base.

I made a mix of Couture Creations Anna Griffin Pigment powder and liquid hair spray in a spray bottle and spritzed the matt Blue.

I then cut a die cut from scrap paper using the L'Aquarelle Flourish Background die. I sprayed the back of the die cut with basting spray and pressed it onto the front of my mat.
then using the Ultimate Crafts Pearl Drops and smeared it over the top of the background die cut. then lifted the die cut.

I then added a smear of Couture Creations Glitzin Glamour as well.

Then I added a line of Embossing and Foiling tape by Couture Creations and added some silver holographic foil.

I added some trim and white flowers that I spritzed the middle of with my pigment/hairspray mix. And the L'Aquarelle Mini Dragonfly die cut in white.

Then I added the L'Aquarelle DIY Dragonfly and some sequin and Couture Creations 3mm pearls and 2mm Gemstones. Then I added the entire mat to a card base made with Ultimate Crafts Card Stock.

I just love the shine that this card shines the pigment Powder, pearl drops and glitzin Glamour just add a depth of shine that is just gorgeous.
