Hi Everyone,

Katrina with you today, spreading some more Christmas in July joy by sharing a new card using the beautiful tones of the "Let Every Day Be Christmas" collection by Tina Higgins. I have incorporated the new Hot Foil stamps to create a unique centrepiece coordinating with the papers, ephemera and dies. You could even leave off the Christmas greeting and turn your card into an everyday option.
I hope you enjoy!

Using the bird print from the A4 Paper Pad, slice a piece 9.5cm from the bottom edge. From the bottom edge of your cut piece tear away an edge of 0.5 leaving a length of 9cm. You can wet and tear, or score and tear or use your ruler. I tear the edges further after making the initial tear line also. Trim to a width of 17.5cm as pictured. I have cut around the head of the birdie in the top right corner so it stays whole and makes a small feature.

Cut a piece from the Damask Matt Gold, 17.5cm wide x 4cm high.

Use the Matt Silver Mirror board, the blue satin foil and the Ornate Christmas Frame hot foil stamp in your Go Press and Foil machine to create your frame.
Cut around the oval leaving a small border around the outer edge, then cut the centre away to allow for the Ephemera piece to be placed inside.

Using the Christmas Branches decorative dies cut one set from the bird print and another from the mirror board. Overlap the print as pictured to create a shadow effect.

To embellish our cluster first use the Merry Christmas hot foil stamp with silver foil over matt gold mirror board to create your greeting. Take another of the ephemera pieces as pictured, one half of the leaf border strips from the A4 paper pad and a few random pip berries.

Colour your Couture Creations rose using a mixture of watered down Buttercup Liquid Drops and Blue Pigment powder. Paint it on with a fine paintbrush and a dauber for easy access.

Wrap your 6mm tape around the bottom and side edges of the Damask and top and side edges of the Bird print so you have 3mm each side. Using your scraps lightly tap the foil, coloured side up, onto the tape creating a faux gilding effect.

Dull down the edges afterwards with a white ink to give it a more muted look.

Cut a rectangle from the Snow White cardstock 17.8cm wide x 25.3cm long, (7x10inches). Score and fold in half to make a card base.
Attach the Gold Damask print, edged in foil, to the lower edge of the card base.
Attach the 1cm strip of Silver behind the bottom edge of the bird print so 0.5cm is showing from behind. Distress the lower edge so some white shows through then attach the whole piece to the top edge of the card overlapping slightly with the damask.
Attach the Ephemera and Hot foil frame centred with 3D foam tape. Cut the leaf border strip from the A4 papers as pictured, then trim the leaf pattern in half again. Attach 2 strips either side of the ephemera frame to create another layer.

Arrange the die cut branches and ephemera foliage, the large rose and Merry Christmas sentiment as pictured. Embellish the rose and leaves with some Crystalina Glitzin' glamour to give it a sparkle to finish.

Thankyou for looking. K x
