Alcohol Ink Backgrounds with Shobi

HI everyone Shobi back again today here for Couture Creations ,
I was lucky enough to get to play with new Couture Creations Alcohol inks. I used 3 different colours to make the background for this card.
Let’s get messy!

Drop several drops of each alcohol inks randomly on to a small piece of Gladwrap. Make sure your gladwrap is wide enough to wrap around the yupo paper. Do not use blending solution or isopropanol to mix or dilute your droplets.

Lay yupo paper on top of these droplets and loose wrap the gladwrap over.

Turn the project over, then smooch the gladwrap around with your fingers. The crinklier the gladwrap is, the more texture you’ll get on your yupo paper. Leave this to dry 24 hours.

Peel the gladwrap off and you’ll have a beautiful background to design with.

Trim this background to fit to the front of your card stock.

For the shaker element, die cut a circle frame with a circle die. Adhere tulle to the back of frame with glue. Once dry add a strip of double-sided foam tape.

Add sequins and attach the shaker frame to the front of your card.

Stamp tallship and colour in with inks. Fussy cut out the ship and adhere to the front of shaker.

Add white splatters randomly with white Posca pen, hand drawn some stitch lines with a black permanent marker pen.

Embellish the card with anchor charm and twine.
