Aussie G'Day Card with Kaylee

Hello, my name is  Kaylee Snell and welcome to my first blog post as a Guest Member of the Design Team for Couture Creations.

Do you ever wonder sometimes, how you have ever got to where you are?  Well this is one of those moments for me...

My paper-crafting journey started about 2 years ago with my sister-in-law Darlene, when we were going to make a Photo Album for my son, Boden and his lovely wife Amy's wedding.  It just so happened that there was a craft show on soon in Brisbane after making that decision.

So off we trotted not ever been to one of these events before.  I heard a demonstrator say she has been doing her craft for 20 years - I couldn't believe that this whole new world existed.  We were so impressed with what people we doing.  I met a lady while having lunch that had travelled up from Tasmania to go to that show.  She said a funny thing to me - she never thought she would buy a sewing machine to sew paper.  Well I can say from that moment, the bug has hit me and not a day goes by now that I'm not thinking about 'how is that technique done?'  I don't believe that I have a favourite style yet, I just love trying everything - and enjoying the journey..

For those of you who might be new to this game like me, being part of a Design Team is a bit like having a mystery parcel given to you and you can do anything you want with it.  I hope that I can pass on a little bit of inspiration to you to 'give it a go' like those before me have given me.

For me I think it all began with a kind thought of 'Making something special for a special person/occasion'.
