Starting from the bottom upwards, the 'sandwich' I used was:-  base plate, embossing mat, embossing folder with cardstock inserted in it, lastly the top plate. |  |

From the Card Deco Essentials Ink Dyes, I used the colours  -

|  |  | 3.  Prep all of the elements - Die-cut the pieces and ink their edges, rip the  patterned paper to fit across card, trim the blue and glitter card for matting and distress their edges, cut a piece of seam binding and tie a knot at each end and lastly fussy-cut around the postage stamp.
 
 The elements I used were:-

|  |  | 4.  For the bigger matting pieces I adhere them to cardboard - it makes them firmer. |

|  |  | 5.  Play with the arrangement of the elements until it feels right for you, then glue them into place. |

This card is a Top-fold measuring 15cm x 10.5cm. The mats all have a 2mm border difference from the one they sit on.
 I put a some glossy accents over the feathers of the Kookaburra and some glitter paint on some of the leaves.
