Hello Crafters!

I love making mini albums, different sizes with different interactive pages. I’ve chosen a simple, quick and easy one to showcase the beautiful pattern papers of Naughty or Nice Collection.

Cut Chipboard to 7”x12”. Shallow cut into the chipboard at 5” and 7”. The Precision craft knife is perfect for this - be very careful as it is very sharp and you will not have to press down hard. We are not cutting thru the chipboard. Apply tape all around the edges of the chipboard. I’ve used a matt black washi tape here to match this collection. I have also apply a small amount of glue to ensure the adhesion of washi tape. Glue the ribbon to the front and back chipboard of the album.

Cut a piece of Mocha cardstock to 6 7/8” x 11 7/8” and mat the inside of the album. Cut another cardstock to 4 7/8” x 6 7/8” (2 pieces to mat the front and back cover of the album) and 1 7/8” x 6 7/8” (spine) . Cut 3 more cardstocks to the following sizes 6 7/8” x 10 ¼”, 6 7/8” x 10 ¾” and 6 7/8” x 11 ¼”  for the inserts of the album. Score and burnish each of these inserts at 4 7/8” from both ends. Glue these inserts to each other at their spine, centering one on top of each other. Glue these inserts to the spine of your album.

Using the off cuts from the cardstocks, cut out some interactive pocket, flips and flaps. Some of the sizes are shown below. Adhere to the inserts and inner covers of the album. The core of a mini album is done!

The fun begins – let’s decorate the album. Before you adhere pattern papers down, consider if you would like to use magnet or ribbons for your interactive pages. Here are some techniques and materials I used to embellish my album: naughty or nice ephemera pack, flower, bells, inks, sewing doodling with pen, paint, liquid drops, sequins, stamp, diamond dust, art stones, stencils etc
