10 cards tutorial with Lee-Anne
Hello all and welcome back to my turn on the blog for the Couture Creations Design Team.
South Africa recently held our annual National Scrapbooking Day, with scrapper, carders, mixed media and bible journalists getting together to scrap and chat and complete our own projects in a creative, fun and festive environment.
I designed these 10 cards following the one-page wonder concept using a 12x12 scrapbook page to make multiple cards.
To complete this project, you will need: 1 page double sided 30x30 scrapbook paper, two complimentary 30x30 matt pages. I used Couture Creations Butterfly garden 02A page and pink and beige matt card. White gauze (from my local chemist), gauze tulle for bows (local haberdashery), skeleton flowers & leaves and leaf sprigs.
I used normal fun foam to raise the card and strong white glue.
So as not to get confused with the cutting and ordering of your cards, place 10 packets, numbered in sequence, in front of you. Cut your pattern and matt to 6x 15cmx10cm pieces. Then cut your matt and pattern pieces according the cutting pattern pages and place each piece of cut card into the relevant numbered packet.
Now collect and cut the embellishments for each of the card design and place into their packets.
You are now ready to start building your cards.
Card 1 – Happy Anniversary
915.5cmx10.5cm STD folded white card, beige and pink matt, doubled sided as per pattern cutting sheet, skeleton flower and leaves die cuts, paper flowers, sentiment, gauze, sisal, foam to raise paper, glue, diamante or mini pearls. Optional: stencil and white ink, embossing folder and embossing machine
To make up the card:
Trim the paper according to cutting sheet. Emboss the beige sheet with an embossing folder and secure to white base card. Secure the pattern card to the beige card, raise this pink card with foam and stick to right of card. Matt the pattern paper to the smaller pink card and secure, overlapping on left side card onto to pattern card. Add sentiment to smaller strip. Add sisal, gauze, flowers, leaf twigs, stamens to left of the sentiment overlapping the left corner of the strip.
If desired, finish off card with mini diamante.
Card 2 – Just for you
15.5cmx10.5cm STD folded white card, beige and pink matt, doubled sided pattern pieces, skeleton flower and leaves die cuts, paper flowers, sentiment, gauze, sisal, organza ribbon, foam to raise paper, glue, diamante or mini pearls. Optional: stencil and pink ink
To make up the card:
Trim the papers according to cutting sheet. Use stencil and ink to blend the image to the white base card. Secure the pattern card to the pink matt card and then to the beige card, raise this beige card with foam and stick to middle of card. Matt the pattern paper to the smaller pink card and secure, overlapping on left side of the card, centred and to the right of the pattern card. Add sentiment to right on the smaller strip. Add sisal, gauze, organza bow and flowers to left of the sentiment overlapping the bottom left corner of the strip.
If desired, finish off card with mini diamante.
Card 3 – Hello Friend

To make up the card:
Trim the papers according to cutting sheet. Use stencil and ink to blend the image to the white base card. Secure the beige pattern strip to the white card. Secure the two small square pattern cards to the pink cards. At an angle, stick the first pattern block at the top of the beige strip. Add the plain pink in the middle, underneath the bottom corner of the top square. Add the pink square to bottom of beige strip, overlapping the bottom of the middle block. Add sentiment to the left of the centre pink block. Add sisal, gauze and flowers to right of the sentiment overlapping the right of the beige strip.
If desired, finish off card with mini diamante. Well Done, enjoy!
Card 4 – Happy Birthday
15.5cmx10.5cm STD folded white card, see cutting sheet for doubled sided pattern page, pink and beige matt, sisal, skeleton flower and leaves die cuts, paper flowers, sentiment, gauze bow, foam to raise paper, glue, diamante or mini pearls.
To make up the card:
Trim the paper according to cutting sheet. Secure the pattern sheet to the base card. Using in and stencil to blend the image onto the centre of the card. Emboss the beige matt and secure to the top right of white card. Raise the pink card with foam and secure to the base card. Secure the pattern card to this left hand corner. Add sisal, gauze bow and flowers overlapping the right edge of the pattern card at the centre of the card. Add the sentiment overlapping the bottom left of the beige card.
If desired, finish off card with mini diamante. Well Done, enjoy!
Card 5 – Thank you
15.5cmx10.5cm STD folded white card, beige and pink matt card, doubled sided pattern page as per cutting sheet, sisal, skeleton butterfly wood die cut, skeleton flower and leaves die cuts, paper flowers, sentiment, gauze bow, foam to raise paper, glue, diamante or mini pearls.
To make up the card:
Trim the paper according to cutting sheet. Use stencil and ink to transfer image to the blue card. Emboss and secure the pink card to the white card base. Trim the pattern card to create 3 mini flags and secure behind the beige card at the top right of this card. Raise the beige card with foam and secure to pink card in the middle of the card. Use the pattern card and secure to the beige card. Add the sisal, gauze bow and flowers just above the bottom left corner of the centre strip. Add the sentiment overlapping the bottom left of the pattern card.
If desired, finish off card with mini diamante. Well Done, enjoy!
Card 6 – With Sympathy
15.5cmx10.5cm STD folded white card, see cutting sheet for doubled sided pattern page, pink and beige matt, sisal, skeleton flower and leaves die cuts, paper flowers, sentiment, gauze, foam to raise paper, glue, diamante or mini pearls.
To make up the card:
Trim the paper according to cutting sheet. Emboss and secure the pink card to the white card base. Raise the beige card strip with foam and secure to pink card in the middle of the card, add the pattern strip of this. Use the smaller pattern card secure to the smaller beige card and add to left of strip. Add the sisal, gauze bow and flowers in the middle of this smaller strip on the left of the card. Add the sentiment onto the right of the pattern strip.
If desired, finish off card with mini diamante. Well Done, enjoy!
Card 7 – Live, laugh, love
15.5cmx10.5cm STD folded white card, see cutting sheet for doubled sided pattern page, beige and pink matt card, sisal, skeleton flower and leaves die cuts, paper flowers, sentiment, gauze, organza ribbon, foam to raise paper, glue, diamante or mini pearls, wooden tag, love, laugh words.
Optional: stencil and white ink
To make up the card:
Trim the paper according to cutting sheet. Use stencil and ink to blend image onto the top left hand side of the base white card. Secure the beige card to the bottom right of the white card base. Add the pink matt and then the pattern corner. Secure the sisal and organza bow to the middle of the card. Secure the tag to the right of the organza bow. Add flowers, skeleton leaves, stamens and leaf sprigs to the left of the tag. Add the sentiment words.
If desired, finish off card with mini diamante. Well Done, enjoy!
Card 8 – Thinking of you
15.5cmx10.5cm STD folded white card, see cutting sheet for doubled sided pattern page, pink matt, lace, sisal, border die cut, skeleton flower and leaves die cuts, paper flowers, sentiment, gauze, organza ribbon, foam to raise paper, glue, diamante or mini pearls.
To make up the card:
Trim the paper according to cutting sheet. Trim the border using a left over piece of card. Secure the lace and border to the back of the pink matt and secure to the white card base. Secure the organza ribbon, sisal and flowers, skeleton leaves, stamens and leaf twigs to the left of the pattern strip. Add the sentiment to the centre on the pattern strip.
If desired, finish off card with mini diamante. Well Done, enjoy!
Card 9 – Congratulations baby
15.5cmx10.5cm STD folded white card, see cutting sheet for doubled sided pattern page, pink and beige matt, sisal, skeleton flower and leaves die cuts, paper flowers, sentiment, gauze bow, organza ribbon, foam to raise paper, glue, diamante or mini pearls.
Optional: embossing folder, Cuttlebug or similar machine
To make up the card:
Trim the paper according to cutting sheet. Using the embossing folder and beige card emboss the card and secure to white card base. Raise the pink strip and secure to the beige card. Secure the pattern strip to this pink strip. Secure the sisal, wooden chip die cut, organza ribbon at the left of the centre strip. Add flowers, wood die cuts, leaf twigs, stamens, sisal on top of this. Add the sentiment to the middle right of the pattern strip.
If desired, finish off card with mini diamante. Well Done, enjoy!
Card 10 – Get well soon
15.5cmx10.5cm STD folded white card, see doubled sided pattern page cutting sheet, pink and beige matt card, lace, sisal, skeleton flower and leaves die cuts, paper flowers, sentiment, gauze, foam to raise paper, glue, diamante or mini pearls. Optional: stencil and ink
To make up the card:
Trim the paper according to cutting sheet. Using the stencil and ink, blend the image onto the base card. Secure the lace to the left of the white card with a glue dot in the middle to the lace. Secure the pink card to the right of the white card base. Raise the pattern card with foam stick to pink matt. Add the beige strip and pattern strip in the middle on the left hand side of the card. Secure the strip to the lace with a glue dot. Add sisal, organza ribbon, sisal, leaf twigs, flowers and stamens to the right of the card. Add the sentiment at the bottom left of the flower collection.
If desired, finish off card with mini diamante. Well Done, enjoy!
