Welcome to day 8 of Couture Creations Christmas in July
Couture Creations new Christmas dies, make it easy to
make a gorgeous snowy scene for your
Christmas table.
The base to the scene is a ribbon spool, a nice wide spool
works best, simply cover with
die cut circles and papers.
Create a banner by printing a title onto white cardstock and
die cut with a banner die.
Add the decorated spool to a saucer and glass dome,
easily sourced at cheap stores or chain stores.
First cut out the large tree, from light weight chipboard, but
do not pop out the shape, leave them nested.
Paint with gesso and dry off.
Spray with turquoise ink and allow to dry.
Cover with dimensional magic this will help adhere the shapes together
and will hold the glitter well.
Sprinkle with white glitter and allow to dry.
Cut another tree from white cardstock and this time pop out
the centre( save the centre repeat these steps and use for back of tree)
Apply dimensional magic and glitter again and dry off.
Layer over the turquoise tree and adhere with strong gel glue.
Repeat this step to make 2 large trees and 3 small one.
Tear white cardstock to almost fit the top of the spool.
Wet and scrunch up, unfurl and dry with a heat gun
Spray with adhesive and sprinkle liberally
with white glitter. Allow to dry
and shape to fit top of spool.
Adhere in place and affix trees to it with hot glue gun.
Add a tiny snowman or dainty deer to complete
your own winter wonderland scene
