Baby Banner By Sue Smyth

#couturecreationsaus

Hi all
As you know I like banners, so I was delighted when
I found out next year my nephew and his wife will be having a
baby. Of course I have to do a baby shower banner

You can make the banner as long as you like, I have made mine
to fit the words Baby Girl.

Start by cutting out a flag banner shape either by hand or
with a die or template. I have cut out two sizes one in white cardstock and one in
pastel patterned paper.
I have cut out the rocking horse shape in white and pink. I have also
cut just the bottom runners in white and pink too.

Attach the patterned paper over the white cardstock with
3 D foam tape.

Add Dimensional magic to each horse and coat with white glitter.
Do the same with the bottom runner and adhere over the top
of the alternating colour.

I have die cut an oval and a scalloped oval in cardstock
of alternating colours for each of the horses to
rest on. Adhere to the banners with 3 D tape.

Line up all of the banners in the order you would like them and
adhere small chip letters.

Wrap fibres around each of the oval panels for a soft fluffy look.

Use a hole punch to add holes to both sides of the banner, I have
added a cardstock reinforcement to each hole.

You can easily do this with a hole punch and a 1/2 inch hole punch
first punch the small holes into scrap cardstock.
Then line up the larger punch over top, centering the small hole into
the middle, then punch.
Adhere each reinforcement over the punched
holes either side of the banner.

This adds detail and is also practical as it adds strength with
very little expense or effort..

Thread each banner onto organza ribbon or seam binding
and add a small tie of ribbon between each banner
to stop the panels from moving.

You can do this banner in any colour, and vary the dies
you use, try

as an alternative.
