Hi Everyone

I am back to share a card that I made for my husbands Birthday tomorrow!

My hubby is just the best husband and Dad. Being a FIFO (fly it fly out) we do not get to spend too much time together. When he is home unfortunately my life still goes on with taking the kids to sport and doing the daily chores and groceries etc. But this man works away from us so that we may have all the things we need to have a wonderful life. Myself and our two daughters want for nothing. and for that we are forever grateful. So here is wishing my darling Hubby a Happy 45th Birthday.

Using an Embossing folder from the Ultimate Crafts Magnolia Lane Range I achieved this look by first Embossing a piece of metal shim with the Timeless Garden Embossing folder and trimming it to the edge of the outside pattern

Then I painted it with Gesso and used the Couture Creations Heat Tool to dry it off.

After drying I then set to work with some alcohol inks, opaque hard surface ink and my paint brush to create an abstract effect to the Gesso, making sure the opaque ink was dry with the Heat tool.

Then using the Couture Creations sanding block I sanded the raised section of the embossed image.

Then I added some hessian matting and a blue card stock mat with distressed edges, adhering the metal shim with Foam Mounting Tape. Then I added some texture by hammering the metal shim withe the end of my Couture Creations Craft Knife.
