Up on the blog today with another Guest Post using the wonderful Sea Breeze Collection from Couture Creations.
For today's project I created a single page layout with a beach theme of course. This range of papers and embellishments are simply amazing, and so very versatile.
step 1 - Cut your patterned papers to form your background. Use a nautical themed stencil and apply
Embossing Paste through the stencil. Leave to dry.
Tip: I repeated the stenciled design 3 times on my background creating repetition.
step 2 - Use a selection of mists and sprays to add colour to the stenciled image.
Mist 2-3 shades of blue onto your stenciled area, then mist with water and leave to dry naturally.
step 3 - Use walnut stain ink and add additional ink splats onto the background overlapping onto the stenciled area.
To set the scene I cut out the lighthouse from the patterned paper and adhered it to the background.
Overlapping the lighthouse image, I used a combination of die-cuts and netting from the range.
TIP: I sewed the netting onto the layout using thin gold thread. This helps keep the netting in place and adds a nice touch of detail.
On top of my shell elements, I added some gold glitter. Cover the shell with a layer of dimensional glaze and then sprinkle with glitter and leave to dry.
Shake off the excess glitter and return it to the original container.
A simple printed filed was used a title at the top of the layout and stapled in place.
Add your photo to the right hand side of your layout with a chipboard element overlapping onto the photo.
A few torn pieces of washi tape adds a fun accent to the background.
Scattered beads, sequins, stars, diamante and other elements add dimension and texture.
It's always an honor and so much fun Designing with the beautiful and versatile products from Couture Creations.
This range particularly is one of my favorites released.
I hope you are inspired by this gorgeous range and create a few of your own Sea Breeze treasures....
Thank you once again Couture Creations for having me on your blog....and to Kerrie for delivering the products in person all the way in South Africa.
Lets do this again - soon {hint hint}
