Lacey Gold card with Michelle
Hello to all our Couture Creations fans around the world,
I'm back to share a little creativity with you all.
Today I am sharing a card - a card made with no patterned paper - now for me, that doesn't happen very often. I love playing with patterned papers. But not this time.
Black, cream and gold - a rather elegant colour combination.
Let me share.
I started with a pile of black card, ivory coloured cardstock and matte gold mirror board.
I used my Go Press and Foil machine, some gold foil and teamed them up with the Modern Essentials decorative nesting lacy frames and ivory cardstock.

INSTRUCTIONS, CUT, FOIL AND EMBOSS DIES
WITH GO PRESS AND FOIL
WITH GO PRESS AND FOIL
[just a reminder for those who don't know how to]
- Turn machine on
- Open lid
- Place metal conversion plate on platform of machine
- Place cut, foil and emboss die on top of metal conversion plate
- Place cut foil colour side down [gold]
- Place cardstock on top [ivory cardstock]
- Close lid and let it heat for 30-40 seconds
- Remove platform unit and wind slowly through your die cutting machine and reverse [the key is to do this slowly]
Look at that beautiful gold foil - a little too gold in colouring against my matte gold mirror board layer, so then I cut two pieces of black tulle to tone it down a little.
A little layering - bringing in the cardstock and mirror board again for the foliage, some crafting fibres and a bloom on the top.
I have cut a white paper insert for the middle of my card and tied with a gold thread.
A close up - just because I can.
