Framed Kookaburra Best Wishes card with Shobi
Good day everyone, Shobi back here again for the Couture Creations blog.
I have an interesting looking card for you today. It looks complicated but in fact it’s not hard to make at all. This card also fits perfectly into Couture Creations’ square envelope..
Let’s get started:
- Cut card stock to 13x21cm. Score on 21cm length ½”, 1½” and 2½” on both ends.
2. Folded at 1½”, cut at 1cm interval to the 2” score line. Do this all along the 13cm length.
3. Carefully fold and burnish on all the 3 score lines then gently create mountain and valley folds down the snips.
4. Repeat for the other end of the card stock. Your card should look like
5. Cut pattern paper (Sunburnt country Sheet 6 B side) to 8x12.5cm. Ink the edges with brown ink and mat this to the front of card.
6. Smooch some inks (Brown, grey and black) onto white card stock. Allow to dry and pick a best position to die cut kookaburra. Enhance the tree branch, leaves and kookaburra beak by painting inks to the areas.
7. Die cut another kookaburra from black fun foam. Mount the inked kookaburra onto this foam for dimension.
8. Die cut the frame twice, once with brown card stock and another with black fun foam. Mount paper frame onto foam frame.
9. Die cut 2 gumnuts and eucalyptus leaves from scrap green paper.
10. Die cut Best Wishes with matt brown mirror foil board and fussy cut a mat for this sentiment.
11. Glue all these elements onto the front of the card and further embellish the card with black gems, jute string and liquid drops.
12. Stamp Kookaburra to the back of envelope.
