Altered Seaside Block with Michelle

"Seaside Girl', the latest release from the team at Couture Creations is available now - if it's not available at your local stockist, it should be. Michelle here, back to share a little creativity using this brand new release. Let me show you my altered block.
I have run the edge of my Stayz In Place - Chocolate Sprinkles ink pad around the edges of the wooden block.

I've used papers from the 12x12" Seaside Girl paper collection and cut squares of patterned paper, inked around the edges with a small brown ink pad and adhered to each side of the wooden block.

To go with the beachy theme of the papers I added beach shells, pearls, mixed media stones, muslin, gesso, tucked in a few die cuts from the ephemera pack, cut out the birds and popped them in amongst the beachy collection of bits as well.

I found a quote and made a small wall hanging for one side of the cube.

I grabbed a ball of twine and made a net to hang over the side and edges of the wooden block.

Found some rub ons for the top and bottom edge of this side, cut out two anchors and adhered them together for a little more sturdiness before adhering to the top of the edge of the netting.

Another few close ups of the beachy embellishment cluster.

Close up to show that I have adhered pearls to the base of my altered box.

And again in its entirety.
