Birthday wishes Card with Cheryl

Hi everyone, it’s Cheryl here with you today. Sometimes we need a fairly quick card for those last minute birthdays (and other celebrations) we forgot about. This card is easy and relatively quick, but has that wow factor we like to give, and only uses a few products. I began with the topper. Using the Captivating Flower mini stamp and die set, I stamped the flower all over white cardstock, turning it onto different angles. I let it go off the edge to give it more interest. I stamped two more of these flowers onto scrap white cardstock, then die-cut them. I also stamped and cut one of the Flexing Branch mini stamp and die set. Put all these aside for the moment.
Next I cut out a piece of vellum, and ran it through my GoPower and Emboss Machine using the embossing stack. You can use any embossing folder for this, but I used the Couture Creations “Ferns” embossing folder, which I adore, and thought worked well with the You Go Girl stamps I used. (I’m not sure if this is still available. **Hint: when dry embossing vellum, to stop it tearing, add a piece of printing paper behind it in the embossing folder. After I’d made my base, I then cut a piece from a scrap of the matching colour. Our vellum will go on top of this cardstock. The sizes I used for these layers was: Vellum: 7.2 cm x 11.3cm. Cardstock: 11.5 x 8cm.Use Quick Dry glue sparingly to hold your vellum onto the cardstock. I literally used a drop in each corner, hiding it behind the elements I added on two corners. For the other two corners, I put it behind embossing.
My last element was the birthday greeting. This will vary in size depending on what greeting you use. I put it all together, using the Adhesive Foam Rectangles behind the vellum mounted cardstock, and also the flowers. I used one on the flower at the bottom, and two on the top one to give it more dimension. I also propped up the birthday greeting with the Adhesive Foam Rectangles. Lastly I added a little glitter to the centre of the flowers. And my card was done.Couture Creations Product List:
