I am sharing my French Country Card today, I love the country vintage feel of the papers and they work perfectly with the Fubu Embossing Folder.
I started by first running my Red Kraft Distress Core'dinations Cardstock through my embossing folder and then sanding it lightly with my Couture Creations Sanding Block.
I die cut one of the Ivy Doilies from the Ivy Set from a piece of the green pattern paper...
and place part of the Ivy Doily on top of a piece of the black pattern paper that I had adhere to the top of my Red Fubu Embossed paper using Couture Creations Two Sided Tape...
I also added a few of the pattern die cut pieces to the front of my card using Couture Creations Foam Mounting Tape. I hope you try adding die cut layers to your projects.
Here are some more photos of the mini album, showing some images from the tree trimming, cookie baking, projects I made and present opening!! Thanks so much for taking a look!!
My cousin has been married 25years and she has a small shoe problem... problem being which of her 150 pairs of shoes should she wear???? I while ago I did an altered shoe inspired by our very own Sue Smyth and my cousin admired it greatly...so for her anniversary I decided to do her one in her favourite colour.
Most of the flowers I have embellished this shoe with are made using the Couture Creations Nesting Die Victorian Square including the variegated one .. What a great set of Dies to make easy flowers with..
From Core dinations Cardstock Cut 3 of each of the smallest 3 Victorian Square nesting Dies with 1 of each size being a different colour or shade form the others.. Cut 3 quarters of the way into the die cut at each point and layer onto a brad making every third layer the alternate colour. Spritz with a bit of water to loosen the paper fibres and scrunch together one layer at a time. Then simply loosely unravel your scrunching to form your flower. This is a great way to make your flower look a little different from the everyday.
The black flowers in the shoe are also done the same way but when finished I have spritzed them with spray adhesive and sprinkle pink glitter on them.
Here's hoping she likes it!!! And thanks again Sue Smyth for inspiring me to do my first altered shoe that then lead to this one.
My gorgeous daughter Tayla is definitely one in a million!
She is loving, responsible, thoughtful and a hard worker. Not to mention beautiful (but I could be bias). I love this picture of her my brother took while holidaying in Kenya and hoped to do it justice with a layout that captures her spirit.
I have been looking for a realistic looking rose leaf for some time now and Couture Creations has the perfect leaf to go with roses. You can see on this layout the detail in the leaves and how real they look. All this thanks to the Couture Creations All Occasions Embossing Folder Jazmyne... this has quickly become my favourite emboss folder.
Butterflies a pretty popular on pattern paper and I love to cut their little wings out and 3D them with an alternate pattern paper underneath... On this layout I have added a bit of Couture Creations Glitz n Glamour to the pattern paper underneath. I also added it to the white Couture Creation Dazzling Doily die cuts under the photograph...
Hi Couture Creations fans! Dana here today sharing a Christmas card. I used the NEW Wild Holly Embossing Folder, from the Wrapped In Joy Collection, on the patterned paper base of my card. I put together a layered wreath with cuts from my favorite Dazzling Doily Die and two dies from the Sophia Intricutz Die Collection.
Follow these steps to assemble this card:
Step One: Select two different colored pattered papers. Trim the papers to fit inside each other on a card base. Emboss the top pattered paper with the Wild Holly Embossing Folder. Adhere the patterned paper layers to the card base with Double-Sided Tape.
Step Two: Select three shades of green cardstock. Cut one piece of green cardstock with the Dazzling Doily Die. Cut three pieces of another shade of green cardstock with the Connexion Intricutz Die. Cut the last piece of green cardstock with the Assouline Intricutz Die. Attach the die-cut layers to the front of the card with Foam Mounting Tape with the Dazzling Doily die-cut on the bottom, the Connexion die-cuts in the middle and the Assouline die-cut on the top.
I love the elegant look of a simple white embossed card combined with one other colour. They are so quick to pull together and they look really stylish though simple.
Today I have two cards to share with you. I used white and purple as my colour combo.
I cut a piece of white cardstock 8.5cm x 12.5cm. I then just ran the bottom half through my cuttlebug using the Tied Together embossing folder (an old folder but a good one!)
Mat this piece onto some purple card and then adhere it to your card front. I have then cut a piece of purple cardstock and stuck it across the centre of the card.
I have then stamped some butterflies from the 3 in one Dreamboat Collection. Seriously - these 3 in one are FANTASTIC! You can use everything in the collection or just use some like I have on this card. I have then cut out my butterfly and curled the wings. I then added a blossom and some silver gemstones to finish my card.
Here is my second card
Another simple yet elegant card.
For this card I have used one of our new Christmas embossing folders Wild Holly from Wrapped in Joy Collection Just another reason I love Couture Creations - it doesn't matter what you use it just all seems to go! Love that I can use this folder for everything including Christmas.
Instead of embossing the whole piece of white cardstock, I have embossed just the top and bottom, leaving a blank strip to stamp my butterflies.
Once you have embossed the bottom, turn your paper and embossed the top.
If you want some more inspiration on the 3 in one Dreamboat Collection that I have been using have a look here and see what some of the other DT gals have been up to.
