Memories Captured by Kerrie Gurney
#couturecreationsaus
Hi everyone, Kerrie here
It is my turn on the Couture Creations Blog.
My layout features a very rare photo of Miss T with both our fur babies.
(As you can see by Toby's face he is not a huge fan of Cadbury and Cadbury is quite scared of Toby) So when Miss T had both of them together with her, I just had to take a photo to capture the moment forever.
I wanted a simple no fuss layout but still with a bit of texture and colour.
To start I misted the cream base cardstock lightly with two different blue mists, allowing some splotches for extra colour.
Next lightly sand the embossed strip to reveal the core colour. Then distress all the edges of the cardstock and patterned paper to create some texture to the page.

I wanted a simple no fuss layout but still with a bit of texture and colour.
To start I misted the cream base cardstock lightly with two different blue mists, allowing some splotches for extra colour.
next I die cut 2 x Art Deco Lace Frame using the Quick Release Die Paper
See how easily the cardstock lifts off when you use the Quick Release Die Paper
I then cut the border of both die cuts, as you can see it changed the look of the die
Next I embossed a strip of Core'dinations cardstock using Christmas Vineyard Embossing Folder from the NEW Christmas Collection (this is such a versitile embossing folder perfect for any occasion)
Next lightly sand the embossed strip to reveal the core colour. Then distress all the edges of the cardstock and patterned paper to create some texture to the page.
I layered the photo using foam tape onto the Fancy Frame die cut before adhering to page
I used the pieces that pop out of the Art Deco Lace Frame as accents, along with some gemstones
I nice simple layout created in 30 minutes, but still with some texture.
