Wild Holly by Tracey Cooley
Hi Creators
I was very lucky to be asked to create some cards to feature for Crop Stop at CHA using the Couture Creations Wrapped in Joy Embossing Folders. These Emboss Folders really capture the spirit of Christmas and I really enjoyed working with them. They give a clean crisp emboss and and I especially like the Wild Holly folder. I hope you like it too.
I started this card with a 5"x7" chocolate base and cut and adhere a mat 4.75"x 6.75" in olive then cut a 4.5"x6.5"in a French Vanilla colour and embossed it with the Couture Creations Wrapped in Joy Wild Holly Emboss Folder.
Using a Couture Creations Sponge Dauber ink the embossed cardstock with red ink leaving the centre of the card its original colour. Then work in some chocolate brown and finally some olive green ink. Adhere to your card base. **TIP Keep working the inks until you reach a nice blended look that goes from red to olive.
Now lets bring some nature into this card by finding and interesting looking stick from your garden and painting it with brown Acrylic paint and let it dry.
Wrap your very expensive branch embellishment with some white netting and attach it with some hot glue. Spray with spray adhesive and sprinkle with white glitter. Attach to your card base with hot glue.
From the Couture Creations Vintage Christmas Paper Pad cut some holly and this beautiful little wren and attach to your branch. Pop a flourish behind your bird using the Couture Creations Endless Dreams Decorative Die Moments In Time and voila!!
**TIP Cut your Moments in Time Flourish in half and place both pieces exactly where you like them.
You will find this card and others I created with the Wrapped In Joy Collection on the Couture Creations Website.
