If you missed what the background looked like before I cut and embellished it, here it is.

 

I have diecut the L'Aquarelle Butterfly from a cardstock scrap with Diecut'N Bond on the front, which I have then covered with Turquoise Super Sparkle Embossing Powder before melting it with the Heat Tool.

 

 

 I have used my Go, Press & Foil machine to apply the word Celebrate and it's little banner to a scrap of white cardstock, before fussy-cutting them and embellishing the banner with silver glitter.  It is always best to Hot Foil the smooth side of textured cardstocks as it is difficult for the foil to adhere in any cardstock grooves. 

 

I have put together a little video showing how I have created the internal border on my layout, matted my photograph and then adhered the background layers together with a minimum of heartache.
