Foiled DragonFly Card with John
Hello everyone, John here today with some foiling fun :)
Adding some fun foiling to the card this time. This card uses the Butterfly Garden collection from Couture Creations.
Here is the card that I made.
Here is how I put it together.
First I cut the cardstock down.
The black cardstock was trimmed down to 9.5cm x 13.5cm.
The green cardstock was trimmed down to 9cm x 13cm.
The white cardstock was trimmed down to 6cm x 10cm.
I then inked through the stencils onto the green cardstock with the green chalk ink. I also used the ink to shade around the edges of the white cardstock.
The layers were then applied to the front of the card.
I then chose a tag from the Butterfly Garden Ephemera set and applied this to the card of the front at an angle using foam tape.
To foil the dragonfly I first trimmed it from the sheet and then did a full foil using a plain gold heat activated foil.
A second layer was then applied using the waste from a Cut Foil and Emboss die.
Finally, I applied a layer using the scrunch method.
Then my foiled dragonfly was then glued to the front of the card.
To finish the card off, I applied some adhesive pearls and a decorative brad that I had in my 'randoms' box.
Here is how it looked when I had finished.
