Joy Christmas Card with John

Hello everyone John back again - I hope you liked the first part of my Christmas cards series.  This time I've included a little bit of rubber stamping.

Here is the card that I created for this post. A simple colour scheme combined with an easy to replicate layout, perfect if you want to send handmade, without hours of work.

This card uses the following items.

  • CO0726890 - Couture Creations Naughty or Nice 165 mm Square Patterned Papers
  • CO726903 - Couture Creations Naughty or Nice Die Cut Ephemera Pack
  • CO726908 - Couture Creations Naughty or Nice Joyous Frame Mini Die Set
  • CO726913 - Couture Creations Naughty or Nice Holly Sprig Stamp
  • Red Pigment Inkpad - Suggested CDEIPL004 - Card Deco Essentials Fast-Drying Pigment Ink Pearlescent Christmas Red
  • CO724389 - Turbo Glue Pen
  • CO726343 - Mini Guillotine Trimmer
  • 147 mm White Square Aperture Card
  • Double Sided Tape
  • Scraps of Black and White Cardstock
  • Two Red Ribbon Bows
  • Acrylic Block

First, cut away the header from the Naughty or Nice patterned paper.

Then, trim the Naughty or Nice patterned paper down to around 25 mm larger than the aperture in the card front.

Mount the Holly Sprig stamp onto the acrylic block and ink up with the red pigment inkpad. Stamp randomly around the aperture, making some of your impressions fall 'off the edge'.

Now, grab a large bauble from the Naughty or Nice die cut ephemera pack and fix it to the card, positioning the bauble on the outside and the hanging string on the inside of the aperture using the Turbo glue pen.

Repeat this with a smaller bauble and offset it behind the larger bauble as shown below.

Now fix the Naughty or Nice patterned paper to the inside of the card behind the aperture.

Now, die cut the black and white card scraps with the 'joy' sentient from the Joyous Frame mini die set and glue them in place on the card front with the Turbo Glue Pen.

Finally add the red bows to the top of the baubles using the Turbo Glue Pen.

Hope you enjoyed this one.

I look forward to the next time. See you then!

John :)
