Corner Bookmark with Lea-Anne
Hello all,
Welcome back my turn on the blog today and I am sharing with you
how to create a corner bookmark.
This bookmark can be incorporated into the card design.
This bookmark can be incorporated into the card design.
This will make an ideal gift for a special person and great to use in your or their dairy or journal.
I used to the Peaceful Peonies Paper Collection, Peaceful Peonies Ephemera Collection, the Mini Score Board and the Go Cut and Emboss Machine to cut the die’s and with the embossing folder.
For this project you will need the Peaceful Peonies 12x12 scrapbook pages, 09 and 12 and a pink matt page.
Using page 12, trim out the postcard with the lace at the bottom.
Using page 9, trim a 10cmx10cm card with the lace at the bottom.
Trim plain card, maroon, to 15cmx10cm as the matt card.
Trim the Wishing you a fabulous day tag from the 12x12 page.
Select the pink and white peonies strip and leaves from the ephemera collection.
Trim a piece of rose gold glitter card to 15cmx10cm to use a bit later to cut your cornered leaves and as a matt to the sentiment card.
Using your Couture Creation Go cut and Emboss Machine and an interesting embossing folder,
emboss the maroon matt card and secure to the base card.
Secure the postcard, with the lace at the bottom cut earlier, to your matt card.
Using your GoCut and Emboss Machine the cornered leaves 3 dies and rose gold glitter card, cut the cornered leaves. Set aside to use shortly.
Matt the Wishing you a fabulous day tag to the remaining rose gold glitter card and secure to the front of your card.
You may want to raise this with a bit of foam before sticking down.
To make the corner bookmark:
Using your 10cm x 10cm card and your Couture Creations mini scoreboard, measure 5cm on the top and both sides of the card.
Flip the mini scoreboard over and score a line on each side, joining up your 5cm marks.
You can also create the score lines on the other side of your scoring board by place your mini card on the far right of the score board.
Fold along your score lines to create the corner bookmark.
Secure a small piece of scrap card over the join to hold in place, front and back.
Using a leftover piece of pattern card, the peony mini die, your Creature Creations go cut and press machine, cut the peony shape from the pattern card.
Repeat and cut the peony from the rose gold glitter card. Trim to make a second set of the same die cut in pattern and rose gold.
Secure the one set of the peony die cut shapes to the bottom left of your postcard, the rose glitter cie cut is underneath the pattern card.
Secure the second set to your mini corner bookmark to cover the join.
Snip the cornered leaves 3 cut earlier from the rose gold and secure to the peony die cut on both the card and the cornered bookmark.
Using the white and pink peony strip from the ephemera collection, fussy cut the white and pink peony and secure on top of your die cut on the card.
Fussy cut the remaining white and pink peony and secure to the corner bookmark.
Fussy cut mini leaves from the peony strip and stick behind the peonies on both your card and corner bookmark.
Using the leaves from the ephemera collection and secure behind your peonies on both card and corner bookmark.
Die cut your sentiment and secure to the front of the card.
Slip the cornered bookmark onto the top right and your card to finish off your design and card.
I made a slighter smaller corner bookmark by cutting the card to 9cmx9cm.
Mark off the centre at 4.5cm on the both sides and top of the card, and score.
Fold and finish off the cornered bookmark the same way as explained above.
If desired, finish off Bookmark corner card with mini diamante.
Well Done, enjoy!
