Notebook Holder with Lee-Anne

Today I am going to share with you how to create a cute motivational notebook holder.
This will make an ideal gift for a special person.
I used to the Couture Creations Peaceful Peonies collection, the Couture Creations Scoring board and the Couture Creations Go Cut and Emboss machine to cut the Peony die’s.

To complete this project, you will need: 2xdouble sided 30x30 scrapbook paper sheet 09A and sheet 12; 30x30 complementary pink matt; a notebook measuring 11cmx8cmx1cm(if your notebook or post-it notes is a different size, then adjust the size accordingly. Remember when you score the folded score lines, add an extra 0,5mm for the thickness of your notebook to ensure the correct space between the score lines); Peony die, dragonfly die, 70mm organza ribbon, Couture Creations mini calendar (optional as you can use tags instead); flower die cuts and tags from the ephemera collection.
Motivational stamps.
Foam and Couture Creations glue dots.
To make the notebook holder, trim the pink matt to 28cmx12cm.
Score the pink matt at 8cm, 9.5cm, 18cm and 19,5 cm.
Cut the Pattern paper 09A to 27cmx11,5cm showing the big peony flowers.
Further trim the left hand side to measure 11,5cmx7,5cm, right hand side to 11,5cmx8cm and secure to left hand right hand sides of the notebook holder.
Flip the notebook holder over, fold the organza ribbon in half and secure to the pink card with tape.
Trim the peony pattern paper to 11,5cmx8cm and secure to centre of the pink card covering the ribbon.
Flip the pattern paper and trim 11,5cmx7,5cm piece and secure to the left hand side of the card.
Trim pattern paper to 11,5cmx8cm and secure to right hand side of the card.
You may want to stamp your sentiment on the right hand card before sticking it down.
Trim two 11,5cm x 1cm pattern strips and secure to the spine.
Using the foam dots, raise the Peony’s die cut flowers from the Ephemera collection and secure to the right hand pattern side.
This will be the front of your notebook holder when flipped back with the sides folded in.
Die cut the peonies skeleton flowers first with the pink matt and then the 09A pattern paper.
Working on the right hand side of the notebook holder, trim the white peonies rectangle from sheet 12. Trim this card in half, raise with a thin foam strip on the left, right and bottom of the card and secure to bottom of the page. Keep the top open so that you can insert the calendar or tags.
Secure the peonies die cut to the front of this square and then add the butterfly from the ephemera collection.
Working on the left hand side, die cut the dragon fly from the pink matt and the pattern paper.
Trim the pink tag from sheet 12 with the butterflies, stamp your motivational sentiment.
Raise the tag with foam strip on the right and bottom of the tag and secure to the left hand side of the card holder.
Keep the left hand corner open so as to insert the tags.
Secure the notebook to the centre of the holder.
Working on the right hand side again, fold the card back and using the white peonies tag from the Ephemera Collection, stamp your motivational sentiment, add organza ribbon and secure to card.
You may want to raise the tag with the foam dots.
Using the peonies die cut, cut the die using the pink matt and the pattern paper and secure to bottom of tag.
Using a small pink peony die cut from the Ephemera collection, secure on top of the die cut peonies.
Using tags from the Ephemera collection, or punch or cut your own tags from the pattern paper. Stamp your motivational sentiment on each of the tags and add the organza ribbon.
Insert the tags behind the pink butterfly card in the holder on the left hand side of the holder.
If desired, finish off notebook holder with mini diamante. many thanks enjoy !!
