Hi everyone, Jowilna here today with a special quick and easy Mother's Day card. My card is created with the Butterfly Garden collection of papers, with a touch of foiling and one of the lovely decoupage images from the Hobbydots kits. All these items are available from your local paper-craft store.

Step 1 - Decide what papers you want to use from the Butterfly Garden range. Trim off the barcode strip and trim a panel to fit onto the front of your folded card.

Step 2 - Use double sided tape to adhere the panel to the front of the card. Then adhere a strip of the barcode above the strip on the panel. Add some paint splats onto the background.

Step 3 - Die cut some flowers from patterned paper Butterfly Garden Sheet 4.

Step 4 - Foil some square frames using copper foil with you Go Press and Foil, and then die-cut the frames for a perfect cut.

Step 5 - Use a 3d Design to create an image for your card.

Step 6 - Assemble your card using the background, foiled frame and 3D element. Finish off with some diamante and dimensional glaze
.
.

When you combine all these wonderful elements together to create a card, you can create some really interesting.
Foiled and distress bits and pieces layered on die-cuts with a beautiful 3D element - what more can you ask for.

And in a few easy steps you have created a great card, and with the right sentiment it would be perfect for Mother's Day this month (in South Africa & Australia)

Hi everyone,
I'm back to share my first project for the month and this time I have created a card using the Couture Creations Dot and Do kit [Couture 04] - well some of it.
If I'm not creating with a little purple [my favourite colour], my other preferred go to colour combination is pink, white and green. Such a fresh colour combination to play with.
I pulled this kit apart.

Then I decided to play a little with it.
I have made a standing square box shaped card using one of the layered blossoms.
I have also used the light pink and olive green card.
Cut a piece of white cardstock 4" x 12" and score at 3", 6", 9".
Cut a piece of white cardstock 1" x 4" and score lengthwise.
Adhere and join the card to make a stand up card.
To decorate and embellish the card ... cut two rectangles of pink cardstock and two rectangles of green cardstock 2 3/4" x 3 3/4".
Cut 6 small white cardstock rectangles 2 1/4" x 1 1/4" and shape one end to be like a tag shape shape. Score in 1" from the other end. Adhere two tags one either side and under each coloured cardstock rectangle and then adhere to white panel of each side of the card.
My mother in law gave me a special card many years ago with a typed up verse on the front.
It has always been special and so I retyped the verse, split it and used a verse on two of the sides of this card.
And a loving word to say,
I will not wait till I forget,
But say to you today.
Among the things I’m thankful for,
Are special people like you,
To make the world a brighter place,
That’s why I’m thinking of you.
Tucked in behind these tags it read ...
Just for you,
with love
Print off verse, ink around the edge of paper and adhere.
Cut twine and tie, but leave open loop and tuck under tags.
Adhere three pearls to three sides of the card.
and a close up of the front of the card ... each layer is joined together with large foam dots.

Until next time,
Happy creating everyone.
