Christmas Greetings with John Bloodworth

Hallo all! John Bloodworth, Gentleman Crafter here again.

If you haven't completed all of your Christmas cards yet then I have a really simple and quick design for you today that you might enjoy making.

This card was made using the following items.

  • CO0726890 - Couture Creations Naughty or Nice 165 mm Square Patterned Papers
  • CO726903 - Couture Creations Naughty or Nice Die Cut Ephemera Pack
  • ULT200031 - Cypress Pine Cardstock
  • CO724389 - Turbo Glue Pen
  • CO726343 - Mini Guillotine Trimmer
  • 135 mm Square White Greetings Card
  • Mini Red Ribbon Bow
  • Double Sided Tape
  • Foam Pads

Begin by trimming the Cypress Pine cardstock down to 130 mm square.

Next, trim the header from the Naughty or Nice patterned paper.

As I am using a patterned paper where I want to keep the central area. I carefully trimmed away the edges.

Use the new width to give you the height and trim.

Layer the Naughty or Nice patterned paper and Cypress Pine cardstock onto the front of the white greetings card with double sided tape.

Grab one of the sentiment pennants from the Naughty or Nice die cut ephemera pack and glue the flat end approximately 25mm from the right hand edge of the patterned paper using the Turbo Glue Pen.

Then, push the shaped end into place, as shown below, and glue in place.

Next, select one of the smaller baubles from the Naughty or Nice die cut ephemera pack and glue it in place underneath the sentiment pennant.

Repeat the last step with a larger bauble but this time add foam pads to raise the bauble from the card front.

Finally, add the red ribbon bow to the flat end of the sentiment pennant using the Turbo Glue Pen.

Very pleased with how the detail in the patterned paper and the die cuts really made this card come together. What do you think?

Until next time
John :)
