ANZAC Layout with Cheryl

It's Cheryl here with an Anzac Layout for you.
If you know me well, you know layouts are not my thing.
I am far more into cards and mini albums.
In fact, this is only my second-ever layout.
I thought it was fitting to at least try my hand at an Anzac layout, out of respect for all those who lost their lives fighting for our freedom.

My father had three of his brothers go to war, and only two came back.
I've used a photograph of the three of them in their uniforms in this layout.
These are very old photographs, as I'm sure you can imagine, so the quality is not that great.
I matted that photograph with the two largest tags from the Steampunk Dreams Distressed Tags Cutting Die Set, then added a cut out using the Cardmaker Frames on each side of the tags.
I used a mix of papers from the collection to make the mat.

The poppies at the top are part of the paper, but the ones around the oval at the bottom have been fussy cut from another sheet.
Rather than have the photo centred on that matt, I decided to place it off-centre for more effect. The white elements are all dies, along with the Eternal Flame.
Last but not least, I used a chipboard piece at the bottom of the layout.

I don't know about you, but I adore this paper collection - it is so fitting and relevant to Anzac Day.
