Together Forever Card with Lea-anne

Hello all and welcome back Lea-Anne here and it's my turn on the blog for the
Couture Creations Design Team.

As part of my video series looking at stretching the use of your dies, this time I will share a different look on how to use your dies to create unusual and beautiful backgrounds using the eclipse technique.
The eclipse technique is an ideal opportunity to give single layer cards added dimension and visual impact.
This eclipse technique is mostly used with letter or numbers dies, but will work with most dies, including intricate dies.

I used to the Couture Creations My Secret Love paper collectionand the
Couture Creations Go Cut and Emboss machine to cut the die’s.
For this project you will need the My Secret Love 12x12 scrapbook pages 10 and page 7,
2x 15cm x 10cm green matt and
2x14, 5cm x 9,5cm maroon matt, cut to size.

Cuttlebug or similar machine, dies: word, letter or numbers dies, shape dies, intricate dies. Standard DIY folded card, Matt card, pattern or plain card for top card, Sentiment/s, Embellishments, Glue, Foam.

Trim the card according to size of your greeting card. Set aside to stick to your card a bit later.

Die cut letters, or numbers or in this case the My Secret Love Trio of posies mini die into pattern card.

Place die onto your cutting machine plate, add pattern card and cut using your GoCut and Emboss machine

Keep the left over die cut pieces from your top pattern card to add to create the eclipse look.

Continue to cut at least 3 or 4 dies cut of the same shape and light and dark colours, and/or foam to raise the letter/numbers.

You can now start building your top layer with the Eclipse die cut shapes. As your first layer of the die cut eclipse, depending on the colour of the back ground card, if dark, add the lightest colour first inlayed into the die cut area, if light, at the darkest colour die cut first, this will create a better halo effect for the eclipse shape.
Now add the left over background pieces from the die cut shape as an inlay into the die cut shape using your 1stlayer die cut as the template.
Stick and layer the remaining die cut shapes to each other and secure on top of your bottom die cut shape.
To form the bottom layer of your card, using the My Secret Love Stamp and Die Set, stamp the Together Foreversentiment at the bottom right of the pattern card.
Secure the 2x matt cards and this pattern card to the front of your card.

Using the My Secret Love Labels die set (2pc), die cut the labels using the 2 different matt cards and a piece of white or plain pattern card.

Using the My Secret Love Stamp and Die Set, stamp the Falling in Lovesentiment onto white label.
Secure the matt labels to the white label.
Die cut any other embellishments to add your card.

Secure the matt to the eclipse pattern card and attach to your card.
Add the mini label dies cuts Falling in Lovelabel to the bottom left of this top layer.

Add your remaining die cut embellishments and organza bow to the bottom of the
Trio of posies mini die eclipse die cut.

To finalise your card, add two mini hearts to the bottom of your mini labels.
You can add some mini pearls or diamante to finish the card. Well Done, enjoy!
