Handmade Desktop Storage Caddy with Lea-Anne

Welcome back to my turn on the blog today.

This time I am going to share with you how I made a storage caddy for my Couture Creations Tools using the Naughty or Nice paper collection, the Couture Creations mini guillotine and scoring board.

First off you need a collection of used household containers and a cardboard base. The base is dependent on the size of the layout of your containers. You will also need a notepad and a Couture Creations Mini calendar, flowers and embellishments. Black or white spray paint to colour the containers. I used 5 sheets of paper from the Naughty or Nice Collection, 03A, 04A, 07A, 11A and 12A, the Mini Calendar and the super sharp craft knife.

Using the 08A sheet and a circle die, cut to circles to be used to secure the cylinder to your board.

Spray paint the containers and the base with black spray paint.

Using the 03A 12x12 sheet, trim the paper to enable you to fold over and create a neat edge. To get neat corners, fold the 4 corners in first and secure with glue. The using glue or tape secure the sides to the back of the cardboard base.

Using 12x12 07B paper, cover the front, back and sides of your largest containers and secure to the back of your base.

Using remaining paper, trim and cover the front of the remaining containers and secure to the base with hot glue. Arrange and secure the paper flowers and embellishments to create an interesting layer.

Secure the notepad to the base.
